ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT

If your business is planning a development that is likely to have a significant effect on the environment, you will first have to carry out an Environmental Impact Assessment.

An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is an assessment of the likely influence a project may have on the environment. The purpose of the assessment is to ensure that decision makers consider environmental impacts before deciding whether to proceed with new projects. From the EIA, an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is produced, which contains a detailed analysis of the effects of a specific development proposal on the environment.

Chrislaw’s in-house expertise in the main EIA disciplines and strategic partnerships enable us to efficiently project and manage the EIA process, including:

  • Initial Screening.
  • Scoping.
  • Alternatives evaluations.
  • EIA/EIS preparation.
  • Presentation at public enquiries.
